"My words are Spirit and Life, and not to be weighed by the understanding of man. They are not to be drawn forth for vain approbation, but to be heard in silence, and to be received with all humility and great affection."
Thomas à Kempis

"For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul."    — Leviticus 17:11

  The Blood Of Jesus

The blood of Jesus Christ is God's way of meeting man's greatest need, salvation. God is holy, and men are sinful. Sin has separated man from God. To be separated from God is death and means eternity in Hell, for sin must be punished. God will never excuse sin.

God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die on the cross as the penalty for our sins,
"Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood..."

You will notice that in Romans 3:25, it was God's plan, not man's
"Whom God hath set forth..."

Also, that Christ died for our sins,
" be a propitiation..."

Lastly, that forgiveness is obtained simply by faith in what Jesus has done for us at Calvary,
"...through faith in his blood..."

Because of the blood of Jesus, God can now show mercy to sinners who repent, yet still remain holy and just to His own nature,
"...that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus." Romans 3:26

  What Will Jesus' Blood Do?

The blood washes and cleanses us from every sin
"Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood," Revelation 1:5.
"...and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." I John 1:7

The blood pays for our forgiveness,
"In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins..." Ephesians 1:7.

The blood makes peace with our God,
"And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself..." Colossians 1:20.

The blood saves us from God's eternal wrath,
"Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him." Romans 5:9

The blood opens the way to Heaven portals,
"Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus," Hebrews 10:19.

  What Must I Do?

Admit your need for salvation,
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23.
"For I acknowledge my transgressions... I will be sorry for my sin." Psalms 51:3 & 38:18

Trust God's in promises,
"...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved..." Acts 16:31.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8,9
"Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:" I Peter 1:18, 19.

Cry out to God in earnest prayer,
"...God be merciful to me a sinner." Luke 18:13
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13

  It's Your Decision!

Jesus shed His blood, was buried, and rose on the third day. At this very moment, He stands ready, able, and willing to save you from your sins. The choice is now yours. There is a song that says, ‘If the blood of Christ is sufficient for God, it is surely sufficient for me.’ It is the blood of Jesus Christ that satisfies God. Why not put your trust in Christ's finished work, and call on Him for salvation today?

"For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." 2 Corinthians 6:2

"Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them." Hebrews 7:25

"And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood," Revelation 1:5.
